Q:What does "Femme Forte" mean to you?
A:A woman who exercises her choice of lifting other women up.
Q:Share a moment when you tackled a gender-related challenge in your career.
A:I have tackled these all my life and now is no different. Surround sound on women's issues is up but in reality a lot is yet talk and not action.

When I decided to leave mainstream journalism and set up platforms like SheThePeople and Gytree for women, I was told that women's didn't deserve a space of their own. I didn't hear the naysayers sayers who were both men and women and today we see over 50 million viewers a month.
Q:Give us 2 self-care rituals you have internalized as a leader.
A:Listening to my body. I work out three times a week and get expert advice on staying ahead of the health curve with vegan proteins and supplements.

Spending time with my children is exhilarating for me. It resurrects the process of learning and unlearning. We three journal together and that's also a big act of self care.
Q:What are the top 3 mentoring initiatives for women in your organization?
A:We are a mostly women run organisation and we have different initiatives at work.

- Mental health is important to us and all our colleagues are entitled to reimbursement for mental health and care.

- We focus on open discussions among large groups to create a candid atmosphere of learning and skills and support.

- We create flexible environment for women to learn and upskill while remaining in their jobs.
Q:Give us 1 significant way to boost inclusion across the diversity dimensions.
A:Focusing on women's health is a very important leveller and creator of equality. I learnt this while setting up Gytree. We need to ensure that when we talk of diversity - it's not just representation but also what we do for different communities. Organisations are doing insurance and calling it women's health covered - that's not how it works. We need corporations to recognise that women's health needs are differentiated and deserve a detailed and connected care approach.
