She is currently working as VP – Corporate Strategy, HR & IR at Gold Star Jewellery Pvt Ltd. She is a business transformation HR Specialist with over two decades of experience in transformation know-how, succession planning and business expansion through cultural & organisational changes in the manufacturing & luxury business. 

She has a passion for teaching and training and has taught and mentored students across universities, B-schools, and at IIGJ. She holds a PhD in Management, along with several other academic accolades, including a gold medal in HR, certification as a Behavioural Skill Trainer, and certification by the American Board of NLP as an NLP Practitioner. She has been a recipient of 27 awards and is an author and contributor to The Growth Hacking Book 2.

Q:What has been the most challenging phase in your leadership journey, and how did you overcome it?
A:To create a valued position of HR from passive to active contributor.
Q:In your opinion, what differentiates a good leader from a transformational leader?
A:Creating a buying which clearly establishes the future in terms of OKR, KPI and linking it to an individual’s career trajectory alongside mentoring them and coaching them to expand.
Q:If you had to give one piece of advice to the next generation of HR leaders — what would it be?
A:The business of HR is business. Know your business to deliver your function
Q:What’s the biggest misconception about strategic HR that you’d like to change?
A:That HR does not know strategy and Strategy does not need HR.
Q:What key skills should students develop to succeed in HR and management today?
A:E most important learning would be Romance the Data and Bromance your People (meaning develop analytics with empathy).
