She is the global CHRO with Strides Pharma. Prior to this she has worked as MD HR, APAC at Accenture, and as global CHRO for Essar. She has a PhD in manpower planning and a PG degree in HR, along with a degree in Law. 

She has been Member and Facilitator with APERG, served as board member of NHRD Network, CII, and is a subject matter expert with SHRM, She was part of the prestigious CSC Commonwealth Leaders and invited to Oxford and Buckingham Palace. Among her many accolades, the most recent one is the Women Super Achiever award 2021. She has been identified as one of the 40 most aspirational HR leaders of Asia.

Q:In your experience, what are the most underrated traits of a human-centric leader?
A:Understanding, Respect Empathy and Honesty go a long way! Just yesterday I met some ex-colleagues from shoppers stop after almost 20yrs and it was incredible that vividly remembered some of our heart-to-heart conversations!
Q:How can leaders manage high performance while maintaining empathy and psychological safety?
A:Performance is a MUST but not at the cost of being abrasive and harsh. The COC states that employees are treated with respect.
Q:What advice would you give to first-time leaders navigating complex teams?
A:Teams are always complex so that’s a reality but not something that you can’t deal with . - Always plan in advance before meetings -Have an agenda and make points that you want to highlight or drive -If you have team members that are not aligned . Meet them separately so that you understand their points of view as maybe they are highlighting facts that you didn’t know -Always be respectful and empathetic as it’s teams that can make you or break you.
Q:How can young professionals develop a human-centric mindset early in their careers?
A:The organization and its workings

-The Culture
-The People
-This is to understand the organisation dynamics including the cliques, the politics
-Having done these young professionals should participate in a) events b) volunteer to take up special projects and spend a lot of time in networking so that they get adequate opportunities to be able to perform and get their work done effectively as informal meetings go a long way to get matters sorted. Not just that they are more likely to move up in their career ladder
Q:How can HR make workplaces more human without compromising agility?
A:Agility is the name of the game for corporates to survive . Adoption to the current systems, processes including tech like AI. This means that if there is upskilling, reskilling and identifying redundancies we as HR we need to be humane in our actions
